UX Lead
Lead Pacera’s UX from spreadsheets to conversational, guided finance design. Build a unified, world‑class UX that helps finance teams thrive.
User Experience Lead
Team: Product Management - Location: Stockholm
Pacera unifies financial close, consolidation and FP&A. With AARO, Aico and Mercur, finance teams combine trusted data with AI-driven insights to enable robust, scalable and intelligent processes for the Office of the CFO.
About the role
Pacera is looking for a visionary Senior User Experience Lead to define and own the future of how financial professionals interact with budgeting, reporting and business intelligence software. This is a rare opportunity to build a UX function from the ground up — shaping not just the interface, but the very paradigm through which finance teams plan, analyse and make decisions.
You will move Pacera’s users beyond the familiar constraints of spreadsheet-centric workflows into a new era of conversational, process-driven finance — an experience that is intuitive, intelligent and unmistakably Pacera. Across a portfolio of acquired products, you will create a unified design language that drives familiarity, trust and competitive differentiation
What you will do
Paradigm Shift - Reimagine financial software UX; moving users from static, spreadsheet-driven processes to dynamic, conversational and process-guided experiences that transform how finance professionals think and work.
Portfolio Unification - Bring cohesion and brand recognition across a suite of acquired products, creating a seamless, familiar Pacera experience that reduces learning curves and builds long-term user loyalty.
Function Leadership - Build and lead the UX discipline alongside Product and Engineering — setting standards, tooling, processes and a culture of design excellence that puts Pacera’s experience head and shoulders above the competition.
UX Vision & Strategy - Define and champion Pacera’s UX vision — establishing what world-class looks like in financial planning, reporting and intelligence software
Reimagine how finance professionals interact with complex data, moving from manual spreadsheet-driven processes to intelligent, conversational and guided experiences
Set the long-term design strategy across the product portfolio, ensuring every interaction is purposeful, elegant and differentiated
Portfolio Design & Unification - Audit, assess and align the UX of Pacera’s portfolio of acquired products, building a unified design system and pattern library
Create a consistent visual identity and interaction model that builds brand recognition and reduces learning curves across all solutions
Drive the evolution of individual products toward a cohesive platform experience without disrupting existing user workflows
Customer & Prospect Engagement - Lead customer discovery sessions, usability studies and co-design workshops with financial professionals to deeply understand real-world need
Engage with prospects to demonstrate how Pacera’s UX is a genuine competitive differentiator — turning design into a commercial asset in the sales cycle
Champion the voice of the user in product prioritisation, influencing roadmaps with evidence-based insight and research
Cross-Functional Leadership - Work as a senior peer to Product Management and Engineering leads, embedding UX thinking into the product development lifecycle from discovery through delivery
Build, mentor and grow a UX team - Hiring designers, researchers and content specialists as the function scales with the business
Establish UX governance, design principles and tooling standards including design system, prototyping and research repositories
Competitive Excellence - Monitor and analyse UX trends in financial software, fintech and adjacent markets to ensure Pacera remains ahead of the curve
Use qualitative and quantitative data — analytics, NPS, session recordings and user interviews — to continuously improve the experience
Position Pacera’s UX as a flagship differentiator in analyst briefings, sales cycles and marketing collateral
What we’re looking for
5+ years of UX / product design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
Demonstrable experience in B2B enterprise software — ideally financial, ERP, analytics or SaaS platforms
Proven track record of leading UX across complex, multi-product environments or post-acquisition portfolios
Experience building or significantly scaling a UX function, including hiring, mentoring and developing designers
Deep expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design and usability testing
Strong systems thinking — ability to design for consistency and scalability across a product portfolio
Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma essential; design systems experience a strong advantage)
Ability to translate complex financial concepts and workflows into intuitive, accessible interfaces
Excellent stakeholder communication — able to present and defend design decisions to C-suite, customers and commercial teams
A genuine belief that great UX can transform industries — and the ambition to prove it in the financial software space
Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by defining something new, not just iterating on the familiar
Collaborative and commercially aware — you understand that great design must serve both users and business outcomes
Data-informed but instinct-led; you balance research rigour with creative confidence and conviction
What we offer
Private equity–backed growth journey with strong strategic direction
Salary range: 700,000 - 800,000 SEK Annual
Strong benefits package
Hybrid working options
