Business Development Representative (SaaS)
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team in the FinTech SaaS sector. As the key BDR on the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential clients. You will act as the first point of contact for prospects, creating meaningful connections that set the stage for long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect Identification and Outreach: Research and identify potential clients within various industry verticals and across a pan-European geographical target area.
- Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies to generate leads through multiple channels such as cold calls, emails, social media, and networking events.
- Qualification: Assess potential clients' needs and determine if they are a suitable fit for our FinTech SaaS solutions.
- Follow-Up on MQLs: Utilise a multi-channel approach, including email, phone, and social media, to engage and qualify marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), ensuring consistent follow-up.
- Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Create and execute tailored outreach sequences for high-value accounts, incorporating personalised messaging and multi-touchpoint engagement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on lead generation strategies, messaging, and campaign execution.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an organised and up-to-date CRM system with accurate records of all interactions, ensuring smooth handovers to the sales team.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on FinTech trends, the competitive landscape, and potential client challenges to tailor outreach and solutions effectively.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance metrics (e.g., outreach attempts, qualified leads, conversion rates) and provide regular updates to management.
What it takes to succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a BDR, sales, or lead generation role, preferably within the FinTech, SaaS, or technology industries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
- Ability to understand and articulate SaaS products' value proposition to potential clients.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial technology solutions, industry pain points, and trends is a plus.
